Synod Disability Taskforce

The Synod Task Group which focuses on the Disability Royal Commission has been meeting since early 2020 to consider matters arising from the Disability Royal Commission.
The last few years have seen conversations at the national level but in South Australia the Task Group wanted to await the tabling of the Royal Commission reports in late 2023.
Revitalised in 2023, the Task Group has started to focus upon promotion of inclusion in congregations and services across the state.
As a result, some short explanatory videos below have been produced outlining access and inclusion for people with disabilities.
Resourcing of the Task Group occurs through UnitingCare SA. If you have any questions, please direct them to UnitingCare SA Director, Mark Waters on mwaters@sa.uca.org.au or on 0417 834 938.
